THE SUNSHINE COLLECTIVE

INSPIRED BY THE COAST, FORMED BY HAND.
The Sunshine Collective by Jayne Papalia brings together functional ceramics and sculptural works, shaped by a connection to the Australian Coastline. Each piece is created slowly and by hand, embracing natural texture, organic form and the individuality of clay.
Jayne Papalia
Ceramic Artist + Founder of The Sunshine Collective
Jayne Papalia is a contemporary ceramic artist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, whose practice explores sculptural form, texture and the relationship between art, object and space.
Drawing inspiration from the Australian coastline and the natural environment, Papalia is particularly interested in the forms and surfaces shaped by time and the elements. Eroded rock formations, weathered landscapes, shifting shorelines and organic structures beneath the water inform her visual language.
