Tidal Veil draws inspiration from the underwater movement of coral and seaweed — forms that bend, drift and respond continuously to the rhythm of the water.
The work explores movement, texture and the changing quality of light beneath the ocean’s surface. Reflections, shadows and shifting light become part of the inspiration, capturing the sense of constant movement found underwater.
Hand-built white stoneware, the work translates these fleeting elements into clay, balancing the permanence of the material with a sense of softness, fluidity and motion.
