Jayne Papalia
Jayne Papalia is a ceramic artist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, whose practice explores sculptural form, texture and the relationship between art, object and interior.
Inspired by the Australian coastline and the raw beauty of the natural environment, Papalia draws from eroded rock formations, weathered surfaces, shifting shorelines and organic forms shaped over time. Rather than directly recreating what she sees, these observations become a starting point for an intuitive process of making, resulting in works that feel both familiar
and abstract.
